TRAVEL INSTRUCTIONS

Public transportation
Rather complicated and impractical, both from the airport and the city. We would therefore recommend to rent a car. For further information please contact Barbara Flock (Tel. +43 316 4120 502).

Taxi
Of course the easiest way. Should cost about € 15 from the airport and about € 10 from the city.

Car
From the airport: Follow the signs to Graz (first left, then right), cross the railroad and turn left at the traffic lights ("Triester Straße"). After about 3.7 km (big crossroads) turn right into "Puntigamer Hauptstraße", follow the street 2.7 km, then turn right into "Liebenauer Hauptstraße". After about 300 m turn left into "Sternäckerweg", continue over the roundabout and take the next right and then left again (it's still "Sternäckerweg). At the end of "Sternäckerweg" turn right ("Messendorfgrund") and take the first left ("Schmiedlstraße"). The Research Center Graz of the Austrian Academy of Sciences is the first building on the right side.

From Hotel Mercure: Go right into "Waltendorfergürtel/Koßgasse" and turn right at the traffic lights into "Plüddemanngasse". Go straight ahead (Plüddemanngasse leads to "St. Peter Hauptstraße") for about 2.4 km. Turn right into "Sternäckerweg", which will lead to "Messendorfgrund" and take the first left ("Schmiedlstraße"). The Research Center Graz of the Austrian Academy of Sciences is the first building on the right side.

You can find a map on the official Graz pages (in German) and a link to an interactive map on the IWF pages.
